ITALIA
Heart for Italy... We just wanted to share some pictures of Italy and some interesting information concerning the nation. The population right now is 90% Catholic(but most of the young people do not attend mass or any form of chiesa(church), 10% is divided into 3 groups with mature Protestant, Jewish and Islam which is currently the fastest growing religion, also, New Age and Satan worship is also in the rise among the younger generations of Italia. Please continue to pray for Italy and their relationship with Jesus Christ as well as believers there, and our family as we make final preparations for our move and service in Italia.

HM2 OUT!
Greetings from Seattle...Well it is final, I was discharged from the NAVY today. It is quite an exciting time for us, but also brings about some mixed feelings for me. I have been in the NAVY for 9 years 11 months and 5 days. It has been an incredible journey that begun soon after graduation. Upon my entrance to the service I was lost, lonely and struggling to find purpose in life and after encouragement from my uncle Max to join the NAVY I ventured out to do so. I say that it brings alot of mixed feelings because the NAVY haas been good to my family and I.
It was during my tenure that I found my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, almost 8 years ago. It was also in the NAVY that I met my bride, right around 6 years ago. So the Lord has done great things in my life over the last 10 years, my desire to find purpose was completed when I found Jesus. The desire that I have always had even from my youth to be called "daddy" from my children is being fulfilled daily. It is in Christ that new desires have been birthed for Sandra and I. The desire to be faithful to the call of Christ. In the Gospel He tells us, "Follow Me" for all people that means to follow Christ, to stop living for our own desires, riches, glory, fame, to accept Christ as Lord and Savior and live for Him.
For each believer that means to seek God's call and be faithful and obedient to "follow Him" in whatever it is He calls us to. Often times those thing don't immediatley make sense in our limited perspective. But, it didn't make sense for God to send His only begotten Son to die, or did it? So for Sandra and I, we have heard God's call upon our lives, we as His children want to be faithful and obedient regardless of the cost. We know, that for which He (God) calls us to, He gives that which we need. Christ promises us in His Word, "I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life."
Their is a famous quote by missionary Jim Elliot that I would like to close with, "He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose."
Please pray for us as we are excited about the next season of life as we serve the Lord, pray for our children that they would have a heart to follow Jesus, regardless of the cost, for the Glory of His kingdom, be blessed friends and family.

This pictures were taken at Stacks Restaurant while we are helping the Barnett celebrate their wedding anniversary and birthday's. We spent the night eating, playing "Newly Wed Game" and the big winner of the night is Glen and Farah Phipps. Continue to pray for Pastor Rick and Kristy Barnett for all the things the LORD have entrusted them here in Calvary Chapel Okinawa for such a time as this.

Silas's Baby Dedication!
This last Sunday we dedicated Silas unto the Lord, it is a tradition that is taken from the book of I Samuel, it depicts a story of a young godly woman named Hannah that makes a promise to God if she is blessed with a child that the child would belong to the service of the Lord. So we also dedicate Silas unto the Lord that God would take His life and use it for the glory of God. WE recognize that before Silas was ours, he belonged to the Lord. So we ask that you would keep us in your prayers, that we might raise Silas to love and fear the Lord and to serve Him all the days of his life.
Damian and Sandra's 5th Anniversary!
The 29th was not only Silas's 1st Birthday, but it was also our 5th wedding anniversary. It was five years ago that God blessed me with Sandra to be my bride and helpmate. As I considered the last five years things haven't been perfect but I wouldn't trade them for anything. Our marriage, like our lives is a trophy of God's grace and I thank the Lord daily for the wonderful woman that He has brought into my life. Pray for us that God would continue to strengthen our marriage for all that He has in store for us, be blessed.
Happy 1st Birthday Silas!
Hey family and friends! Last Friday the 29th Silas turned 1. We had a wonderful time at lunch. We went to Four Seasons Steakhouse, it's his favorite : ) We had lunch and spent the day together as a family. Then on Sunday night Sandra made him some Philippino cuisine that we took to some friends house. She also made him a yellow cake with chocolate frosting another one of my I mean his favorites, I think the saying goes "like father like son" anyways we had a wonderful day together, if you have a chance send Silas a Happy B-day comment, he'll be super blessed.
