Outreach: Nursing Home Caroling

Isn't the love of the Saviour amazing? It's unfathomable, it's unmatchable and indescribable. It's that amazing love that we have been commissioned to share with an apathetic, dying world. If you're not sharing it, you're in disobedience. Sharing the love isn't only accomplished in what we say, but even more importantly in how we live our lives. Have you ever heard the saying, "Actions speak louder then words?" My life, your life, our lives can share the love of Christ in very pratical means when purpose to bring glory to His name in all that we do.

Today, we had the opportunity to go and sing Christmas carols as well as tell the Christmas story to several residents of Old Rectory Nursing Home in Exeter. It was an amazing experience, to sing, chat and pray for a generation that is on the door steps of death, a future that looms for each of us. Many of the residents don't have visitors come to see them, much less pray with them. May are lonely, depressed and longing for love.

There hearts were warmed by the Lord as we sang and had tea together. Please pray for the seeds that were sown and future opportunities to do regular Bible studies there with the residents. They staff were very blessed and encouraging as well as receptive to the idea of us coming back in the future. We thank all of you who have been praying for all the outraches that had this week, the Lord is good and faithful and working all around us. Keep sharing the love of Christ in this Christmas season, after all it is all about Him anyways.
