CHURCH BUILDING IN DEVON, ENGLAND

These are pictures of beautiful historic church buildings that you can find all over England, but inside it is usually empty, dark and cold. Where maybe 50 to 100 years ago it was full of people, color and life. They remind me of how our relationship with Christ can be cold, dark and empty, upon His return, what condition will He find His relationship with you? Is it an old archaic building that monuments a for too distant work of His Spirit or is it a temple of the Holy Spirit, being laid daily in intimate communion?

We want to associate God with beauty and God IS beauty - but not all that seems beautiful in the world is of God. Maybe it's because beauty is seen with our hearts and our hearts can lie.

I pray that God restores His beauty to these buildings by restoring His people to Himself.
