IN AWE

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning GOD created heavens and the earth...

The other day while standing in awe of GOD's creation, contemplating on how He made all things around us. I was in utter amazement at the different aspects of creation, the colors, the textures, the sizes and the total appearance of all created things. GOD, the Creator is revealed, the revelation that HE IS the DIVINE ARCHITECT of all things is apparent, one can't stop from thinking about how awesome GOD is.

The vastness of His creativity is incomprehensible, He gave us the fullness of His beauty in His splendid creation, to look upon and thoroughly enjoy the inescapable wonders of creation, the handprint of the Lord is readily observed.

When the sin of man brought pain, hurt, suffering and death upon himself. We could rest in the assurance that GOD had already orchestrated, planned and designed a way of salvation for us, in the sacrifice of His Only Son who died on the cross, a beautiful plan it was...HIS ULTIMATE MASTERPIECE ...that we might have life with HIM..

As we look around we can see the love of GOD demonstrated in His creation....

ENGLAND

"Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all the deeps,
fire and hail, snow and mist stormy wind fulfilling His word!
Mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars!
Beasts and all livestock, creeping things and flying birds!
Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and rulers of the earth!
Young men and maidens together, old men and children!
Let them praise the name of the LORD, for His name alone is exalted;
His majesty is above earth and heaven."

Sunday Concert in the Park @ CCA: Foolish Things

Tonight at church they began their concert in the park series. Once a month they host a band here at the church and they play in the out door amphitheatre. Tonight it was Foolish Things, they were a really good band with amazing hearts for the Lord.

Tonight was actually their final concert as a band. They have been playing together for 12 years, all the same guys. It was such a blessing to have them here, throughout the entire concert they all looked like they were having so much fun, that is what playing music is all about.

Before the concert their was a baptism, also the first of the summer. It was great to see all the people come out to be baptized, it was also great to hear all the wonderful testimonies of people, they told of how the Lord has saved them and brought them into His fold.

Surprise B-day Party

This weekend we had a surprise birthday party for my mom (Virginia). It was amazing, she knew nothing of it for the last 3 weeks that we have been planning it. My sister drove in from Denver for the party and my brother from Farmington. We had some other family members and friends that came into town for it. Their was so much food, and we had so much fun together.

Trip to Calvary Chapel Paris (Texas)

Last weekend we made the long drive to Paris, Paris Texas that is. We went to visit some dear friends, Jason and Christy Duff and their children. It was a really blessed time.

We had the opportunity to visit the body of Calvary Chapel Paris, they were a wonderful body full of love. Paris is a very small town in east Texas, but the Lord is doing a huge work through the teaching of the Word. We are excited for Jason and Christy at what the Lord is doing through them and with them.

On the way there we had the opportunity to stop and visit an old friend from Okinawa. Jeremy Walton is in the Navy attending a school in Wichita Falls, Texas. It was great to see him, although we weren't able to see his family.

Exactly 7 yrs ago about 700pm(local time) we arrived in Taormina, Sicily to have dinner. We arrived to Sandra's Favorite Restaurant who was owned by one of her acquaintance's...they served us Buttered Lobster from Cuba. Afterwards we strolled towards the famous Piazza in this quaint little town and watched the beautiful night.

It was then as we stood in the middle of the Piazza, Damian asked Sandra for her hand in marriage. It was a beautiful night, the moon was beautiful (la luna bella), they say) there was an Italian band (conzoni folk italiani), and some local painters in various parts of the Piazza and of course there were plenty of tourists and locals meandering around. Unfortunately, the pictures taken that night are all in Italy right now and to be exact it is in David's garage to be exact.

So, we thought to just put up some wedding pictures of ours..sorry the quality isn't so good because digital camera's weren't the standard then. It is then, that evening we both came to understand that the LORD had lead our paths together in Sicily, seven years later and 4 beautiful kids, we can truly say the LORD continues to write our love story. We are testimony of the Holy WORD of GOD that says "Therefore, what GOD joined together, let no man separate." Matt 10:9

We thank the LORD for everything that He has done, He is doing and what He is going to do in and through our marriage.

PRAYER FOR ENGLAND

PLEASE PRAY FOR…

1 England is the most secular of the four countries that comprise the UK. The steady decline in belief and church
attendance is of deep concern. About 62% of the population has belief in God, 38% that Jesus is the Son of God, 23% that the Bible is
the unique Word of God, 16% visit a church during the course of a year and 11% at least once a month. Nominalism and notional
Christianity are enormous challenges. A nodding acquaintance with the structures and trappings of Christianity and basking in the
afterglow of Christian influence anaesthetize the majority. Pray that the Holy Spirit may break down the barriers and bring a sense of
the holiness of God.
2 London is one of the world’s hub cities for finance, travel, politics, etc. The spiritual life of London — or lack of it — impacts the
world. It is also the destination of a high proportion of the inflow of migrants over the past 50 years. Pray for:
a) Inner-city church planting. Relatively few successful models exist — a few are the Ichthus Fellowship with growing
congregations in southeast London, the International Christian Centre (Nigerian-led) in east London and multi-ethnic Kensington
Temple in central London. Pray for the city to be effectively evangelized.
b) Ethnic minorities are increasingly becoming the majority in many London boroughs. Over 50% of church-goers in London are
non-indigenous. London is the home of nearly all the UK Bangladeshis (the largest concentration in the world outside their
homeland), Kurds and Turks and these constitute some of its least reached peoples.
3 England’s inner cities have become physical and spiritual wastelands, riddled with drugs and crime. Dying congregations, closed
churches and churches converted into Muslim mosques, Hindu temples or Sikh godwaras are commonplace. Pray that God may raise
up an army of workers with effective ways of meeting the many needs of these multilingual, multi-cultural areas.

Preacher Boy

Silas is going to be our little preacher/evangelist. he loves to take his Bible everywhere we we go, not only that but he tells everybody that he likes to read his Bible. He is already becoming like an arrow in the hand of a warrior. He also had just enough spunk to be a true guardian of the Truth.
